About to disappear again for about a week. This is the last one! Last one!! Yaaaaaaaay!!!
which of means I can't park on the street for 12 days and getting anywhere in town will be a pain. So of course my goal is to bike over a few blocks and find mini donuts outside :)
My sister informs me that when she reads my blog she is first accosted by a Twitter pop-up asking her to log in or something. Anyone else experiencing this? Not cool if so....so let me know. Might have to kick some cyberbutt.
Not wasps this time but somehow there are normal bees in one window and I can't tell how they're getting in :( I went outside and I don't see them going in anywhere. Luckily it's not horrible hot because I had to shut the window.

I was at Fred Meyers yesterday, and they had a CHRISTMAS DISPLAY up.
I walked around it twice, looking for a super clearance sign, or some indication that it was leftover from last year or some other forgivable reason, but no... it was a display for Christmas ornaments for 2008.
It's AUGUST.
A CHRISTMAS display.
I feel queasy.

Does anyone here have a laser engraving machine? Or have any experience with them at all?

In a fit of brilliance being not entirely club-handed with coding, I got the EMG-Zine submission page working such that you can submit for several months in advance. That means that if you've got artwork in the theme of leaves, ice, wings, ox, humor, selkies, shells, fire, spiders, Alice in Wonderland, wizards, or Eastern Indian Mythology, you don't have to remember to do it later - you can do it all Right Now.

That's pretty much my sole accomplishment for the day - I was babysitting aunt for the day, and my sister has no wireless. (And frankly, I fear for my laptop there with two pets and two nephews under 10, so we played outside, and watched cartoons and lots of other not productive things.)
(ETA: Also, it is my 7th anniversary, which I honestly would not have remembered if I had not gotten an e-card from a friend. I would think I was a no-good, awful wife, but Jake didn't remember, either. We laughed. He brought me wine and chocolates.)

I have the best kittehs...they are so loving and fun and gentle. Jules is incredibly tolerant of Mommies neverending delight at sticking her stinky sweaty flea bitten Croc sweaty toes in his face. (My feet suffer in the summer time what can I say) He just takes a gentle nibble, twitches his nose and tolerates the whole exercise gallantly. What a little gentleman. On another note I was elected a DD (Daily Deviation) over at Deviantart.com ! Whoot! Also we got a Wii for Emma's birthday! It's really for the whole family to use...although purchased ceremoniously for her Birthday. (Don't worry we got her other stuff too that she can be all selfish and 8ish about - just not the Wii) The Wii rocks the freaking shingles off the house Boyee! OMG!!! I also ordered us the Wii Fit should be arriving this week some time. I have already enjoyed deep seeded therapuetic satisfaction from kicking the bajeezus out of some strange avatar in the boxing challenge. Oh god how I love to smack people in the face....ahem...um....apparently....Cheer s!
Hello Everyone
I can't believe it, but Dragon Con is almost here again! yeah. I can't wait to go. This will be my 3rd year at Dragon con and I am looking forward to seeing new & familiar faces!
I will be in the Dealers Room again this year. The Dealer's Room is in the Marriott Marquis Hotel at 265 Peachtree Center Ave in the INTERNATIONAL BALLROOM. My booth space is A12. Please stop by and visit me.
I sell many one of kind products at my shows and some items are shoe exclusives. (I only sell my jewelry boxes at shows, for example). I will also have a variety of sales running throughout the weekend, so you don't want to miss out. I will also be selling prints, bookmarks, earrings (which I am unveiling a new style), cameo pendants and much more!
If you are not familiar with Dragon Con you will want to know more about it. It is one of the biggest Sci-Fi/Fantasy Conventions around. It takes over 3 hotels in downtown Atlanta, GA, just to give you an idea. There is a huge array of artwork, comics, jewelry, toys, costumes, collectables, cards, gaming, contests, shows, celebrities and much more. If you are a fan of this Genre you do not want to miss this show.
For more information about Dragon Con you can visit their website:

I hope to see you there!

Might as well post something, before this LJ dies or something. *laughs* Sorry for the lack of updates. There are several things going on in my life including family illness, so I decided to cut a few things out to be able to catch up with my work. I am crossing my fingers for everything to come back to normal soon.
But I am still painting! Finished quite a few commissions and I am starting a new book commission this week (actually, I've already started character design, I still need to nailed that one. One more design to do, then I should start working on the cover)
And this is something I am doing for myself during the very little free time I have (mainly during weekend and on wednesday night)
This was the state of the sketch last week. Fixed quite a few things in it (that you will be able to see in the colour test) I still can't believe how simple perspective is kicking my butt right now! *sighs* I really am rusty! Better fix that soon because I have an even more complex background to do for the book cover commission.

And this is the current state of the illustration. This is just a colour test in photoshop, I am still wondering if I should do a watercolour/acrylics painting or if I should just do a CG for this one.

Now to the shower and finish that last character design!
